Drip-Style Email Invitations for the Virtual Welcome Center

Virtual Welcome Centers provide your prospective students an interactive way to learn about your institution, even before they set foot on campus. Wisr recommends that you provide access to prospective students in two ways:

  1. Link to your Welcome Center on the admissions site. "Learn more about Owl University in Owl Connect: OU's Virtual Welcome Center." Note that prospects who come in via this link will not be pre-verified, and will have pending membership until accepted by your institution's admin.
  2. Funnel all interest / inquiry forms through the invitation pathway. Wherever prospective students provide their name and email address to request more information about your institution, create an automated invitation pathway to bring them to the welcome center. This drip-style invitation sequence is intended to send the prospective several gentle reminders so that they will join the conversation in your site. The diagram below details the process for using Slate to automate the series of invitations.
